Tappahannock Rotary welcomes several Boy Scouts to a presentation about their leadership training and experience. From left to right, John Gregory (Rotary member), Mac Garrett (Rotary member and liaison with local Boy Scouts), James Briggs, William Short, Tristan Edwards, Doc Franks (Rotary member and evening program sponsor), and John Magruder (Chairman for Boy Scout Leader Training and Youth Leader Training). The three young Boy Scouts leaders made their presentation to a select group of members at Roma's restaurant on the evening of Thursday, February 9th, 2012.

Sonny Terry introduces guest speaker for the evening: Libby Trible, assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Northumberland County and seeking the elected position of Essex County Commonwealth's Attorney in this fall's election. Club President Chuck Gilchrist thanks Libby for her presentation.

 

   

Tappahannock Rotary Club welcomed the "Governors" on Thursday, August 
28th. On the right, Tappahannock resident William Croxton serves as 
Assistant Governor for the five Rotary Clubs in the Northern Neck and 
Middle Peninsula. Center: current 2008-09 Tappahannock Rotary Club 
President Fleet Dillard. Right: this year's District 7610 Governor 
Charles "Chuck" Davidson set the goals for the year and visited with 
Board members Joe Johnston, Richard Lyman, Joanne Ruffa, Shep Lewis, 
David Broad, Jeff Willett and Chuck Gilchrist. Chuck Davidson was 
accompagnied by his wife Nita.

Lloyd Dobbins was a former NBC News correspondent and writer. He is currently writing the script for the Jamestown Centennial 2007 celebration official book.
